Much ado about cussing

In the last few days there has been some fervent, characteristically abrupt, attention to invectives, indeed even the parliament was in uproar. Cussing is so common in streets and around that these elevated concerns make me laugh. Evidently they want their surroundings to be sanitized, any intrusion into these sacred space is scowled. Though this blogger will be concerned if the cussing is with the intent to be divisive or communal, other than that cussing is a reality and should be treated as such. Though it may be avoided but these exaggerated concerns are unnerving. My concern would be what is hidden in sanitized subtle world of Indian elite. Barbaric non violence that sustains and encourages oppressive system, that demeans humans as tradition, is my immediate concern. In the crude reality of things cussing is a non issue and yes may be used if the situation so demands. In the rough world it acts as a vent for common people, these impotent rage have psychological benefits. The deliberate attempt to make issue of something that is so common and very much a reality in the lives of common people is a ploy to showcase the subtle and sophisticated world of Indian elite wherein what is cleverly pushed under is crude world of nepotism and corruption much less tacit acknowledgement of oppressive traditional system and not so subtle indications as beacons over names, as heritage. This insistence of proper conduct while everything else is putrefied is undoubtedly nothing short of being an alien. The reason why the construct of ‘purity’ created an assorted world that this society still reeks in its stink. A civilized person world would undoubtedly find Indians quite uncivilized, though it may not be apparent in first instance. It is cloaked in clever and layered deceit. The Sharma family in Karol Bagh always had atthiti devo namah at their door, I never went in nor was I ever invited. There was something quite serene about their demeanor, and cussing was never even possible, except maybe when their little world is scratched and then you could hear some shocking use of language. The difference here is that common people’s world is mutilated on daily basis.

Buddha deliberated on right conduct, unlike the squatter created world wherein pure conduct was end in all. Right conduct is an engagement with the world, it is much nuanced. Pure conduct on the other hand instigates muck and tends to degrade and alienate the world around. As mentioned, in my earlier blog, squatter’s world associated itself with power (therefore money/greed) and control, and the powerful in turn fed and eulogized these degradations. Common people were out of this equation of culture and heritage herein. They were to be subjugated, and this became the cause célèbre of elites, they got their understanding from these varied forms of oppression. The world they constructed constantly seek to define itself from the point of domination, the reason the philosophies were rarely egalitarian, if ever reeked of hypocrisy. Also, since these were entitled worldview mediocrity and irresponsible conduct (however pure) became the mainstay. The reason why, whatever way one may be talented, it is quite unlikely that it will find much expression; the reason why Indians rarely reach their potential, and find meaning in fatalism while the mediocre elite with their lack keeps degrading the institutions.  It pervades into culture, sports, literature…So much so that even words like democracy become farce. Now that the mediocrity has shifted to market needs, we have the shift in garb of liberal saviors.

Guptaji (we eschew beacons on cars…those political goons, power hungry babus, crass people. But the beacon on the name is always on. Nice. Very nice), Director from Public affairs and Critical thinking (phew big one that) understandably is eminently qualified to defend Gandhian worldview. As mentioned in my earlier blog, Gandhi originates and deals within the power structure, indeed independence from colonial Britain meant transfer of power. In effect it was struggle to control power (for the sake of people, of course), and therefore very much entrenched in squatter’s framework. It cannot work otherwise, this gives legitimacy and necessary clout. Gandhi assiduously built on it. While the traditions of saints (also mahatmas, and you will notice they didn’t carry any casteist reference in their name or actions) was situated in questioning/denying the oppressive structure, that is, casteism and its barbarity. Saints were enlightened people who enriched Hindu society; all the egalitarian values that define this society can be traced to them. The ideas of non violence (as also vegetarianism) meditative thoughts so on arise from these frameworks. Squatter’s in the meanwhile first tried to degrade when that didn’t work manipulated these into squatter’s world view. Gandhi firmly fixating himself in squatter’s framework therefore cannot claim non violence, indeed that itself would be violence. Guptaji writes “In place of a violent display of opinions, Gandhi espoused ‘sweet persuasion’. According to him, “Anger proves our intolerance,” adding that the “capacity to bear one another’s criticism is a very important quality of public life.” Bertrand Russell, another famous pacifist, echoed Gandhi when he said: “If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do.

Sweet persuasion? Even the sound of it reeks of lack of genuine involvement, a product of clever mind. It seems to work with coercion that is subtle and comes with lots of goodness, like what they call diplomacy, meaning getting your party/nations view across without being much concerned about truth. If you are genuinely concerned about something then you would try to understand, by logic as also by use of emotion, and then empathize. You don’t do ‘sweet persuasion’, that is subverting the issue. Mahatmas don’t do clever tricks (you can leave that to babas, the scoundrel at Puttaparthi used to do some ash producing tricks, and stacked money. They didn’t raid him like they have done to Rampal. Point to ponder), they are genuinely involved. Secondly, one also has to place oneself at the lowest section of brutal and barbaric oppressive structure (that condemns the moment you are born, what can be more heinous than that) and then practice ‘sweet persuasion’. So if it is the truth then it should work at all level. Clearly Gandhi was speaking from his reality that gave him the power, and what makes it disgusting is that he denies the realities/forces that work to make the life miserable for the most oppressed sections. In a civilized world this is known as being a hypocrite; Gandhians have made it an art in the garb of Christian inspired social work for poor. This non violent barbarity has to be met with violent decency. Both equally absurd but mutually compelling worlds.

Quoting Russell as ‘echoing Gandhi’ doesn’t help the matter for the simple reason Russell hadn’t placed himself in primitive framework nor does he claims to be a Mahatma. Gandhi had raised his stakes but he clearly falls short. That these degradations exist even now, that eat away the soul of the society causing untold miseries, and instead of being ashamed is relished by mediocre and clever Indian elite. It has percolated as vicious cycle of aspirational framework, this is Gandhian legacy that will have to be resisted with all of one’s might. They have piggybacked, with ‘sweet persuasion’ skills, Gandhi and have influenced west into this gentleness hiding amazingly barbaric worldview.

Gandhi tried to be a good Hindu without understanding what it meant, he deliberately stuck to simplistic version of squatter’s oppressive world and searched enlightenment herein. His thoughts and ideas when taken out of Indian reality may match Russell’s or for that matter the best in the world, but the very fact that it came from the acknowledgement of oppressive system makes it a suspect. It’s like Nazis talking about human rights or white supremacist referring to empathy. These may sound wonderful but the reality is stark. Oppressive structure like casteism embedded in religion doesn’t give it any divine blessing as much as face covered muslim woman is primitive patriarchy in its brutal form (I bring my muck you bring yours is not how diversity is understood. It will lead to British like monarchy hugging crap and export terrorists as part of multiculture dividend). These cannot be fit in the garb of religious freedom, it has to pass through the ideas of universal truth. No ‘sweet persuasion’, genuine people don’t deal in such histrionics. These have worth in market driven deceit, that has taken human race to its own peril.

Gandhi was a man who wanted to bring in morality in political discourse, anything more than this is part of Indian myth making tradition, that Indian elites have a firm say.

Thus wrote TOI journalist: One of the Jain Bandhu slave has written about a Doordarshan anchor at Goa IIFI. It is a must watch. It’s hilarious, the vacuous nature of Homo sapiens that market creates, a statement on the times we live. The woman wonders and is unable to comprehend that despite “successfully hosting corporate and entertainment shows since college” she is being crucified. These are the kind of wonders that only market can create and sustain. Indeed after market invasion, commonly ‘liberalization’ used as euphemism and capitalism invoked as justification, lots of crude and degrading jobs have come into existence. Already world renowned for its diversity (a closer scrutiny will make one puke) Indians have colored it with market choices. The diverse nature of jobs, we are told, is making the society vibrant. These are only following squatter’s framework in its market avatar: deceit, mediocrity, clever manipulations, gabbing nonsense as one goes for emotions so on. That they have been spinning money from nowhere with least of talent is what makes it compelling (aka Tirupathi aka Cricket). The slave (also journalist), apart from pointing to serious lack on the part of anchor (which is so very obvious, again the readers must watch the clip. It’s nothing different from the crap we watch every day in Indian TV. It’s a Déjà vu feeling) points to another serious mishap on the part of anchor “…and made the stupid, stupid mistake of asking Prahlad Kakar, how he felt being ‘here in Goa’. Well, woman, Kakar’s been in Goa as many times as he has scuba dived. For crying out loud, he even has a house there”. Now I am wondering who is this fellow Kakar? And why should the anchor know his detail? Indeed why on the first place he should be even be in the list at IIFI? Then I find out he is the presiding deity of marketers, and for the slave in the market driven newspaper, this is moment of reckoning, his way of supplicatiing to the superior force. The slave pontificates “…so why she is being laughed at and castigated for? The PM is solemnly heard out when he says that plastic surgery was rampant in ancient India...A former Uttrakhand CM and present MP believes that a 2nd century BC sage had conducted nuclear test…” Good, well taken. Punching politicians is quite common, it also has this urbane demeanor to it, placing oneself as superior is inbuilt. Many Indian journalists adhere to this. But the slave at TOI will have to explain on ridiculous ads that weave puerile worldview, indeed ridiculously juvenile. The other day they redefined it further: youngsters (obviously successful) are playing golf using car. All this to sell one kind of brand over other, there are people who are being sought to be influenced by these!! It surely is black money doing the round). This is the system that creates the vacuity and celebrates it.

Likes of Indrajit Hazra are part of this vacuity, the reason why Kakar becomes a beacon of recognizable excellence, wherein he is just another marketer who helps manipulating things. Mediocre society values these people. In the last many years market has helped some really harebrained people to make huge amount of money and celebrate it too, as the society slips into crudeness with relish. Peddler’s of foreign brands and assorted worldview is what defines the society and choices herein. The DD anchor is no anachronism as much as likes of Hazra, just that these people earn few hundred times more in a day than a rickshaw puller in Chandni chowk (who puts in hardwork all day long) in a year or so, that is what is shocking. Now this is comparison of genuine ‘jobs’ in market driven world, I haven’t even come to money from nepotism, corruption and other family values that defines this society.

Why do we fear Racism? A lesson to Black community in USA from India

Some apologist seems to have taken the cudgel to defend their clan and the very way of life that demeans others. Foot soldiers of casteist heinous are defending the fort –the regressive degrading framework – that each temple across the region and over the centuries have fine tuned and spread it across as culture. That seeks to embed every modern expression. Indians are unique in this non violent barbarity. That it has ensconced in matters of god, therefore delicate matters of life, death, so on, has trapped the common people in a serious deviant mesh, that they find it difficult to come out. In the sense it became an aspirational model. The soul of Hinduism therefore delves into darkness, the lack of moral ethical compass was telling. With manipulations and other crude exigencies taking over all forms of dealings, while egalitarian values and enlightened expressions become subaltern references that common people rallied and cherished. This therefore became the basis of common people’s understanding of world, their tolerance and enlightenment herein. The power/elite were always exploitative and nepotistic that defended squatter’s heinous practices as culture and traditions. It is always the powerful seeking control who acquiesced to squatter’s degradations. So far Gandhi was convenient alibi, now Market seeks to redefine primitiveness in the garb of modernity.

Lack of much innovations or manufacturing competence/ability (except maybe following the orders) has seen to that extractive exploitative mindset was extended to corporates that plunder and suck natural resources, while manipulative and gift for gab in influencing emotions have seen to that they became agent for selling, as marketer and PR. With loads of money being spent on pushing products from across the world, India turns into business destination, a large market, and Indians reduced to consumers and cheap labors. The manipulators became sort after, clearly squatters had the advantage they began to ransack, while artisans and other talented people’s role diminished. Feudalism was consolidated in modern garb. Market manipulators have become the single source of corruption, therefore mediocrity and exploitation. The art of deceit became a sort after characteristic. They relentlessly degrade institutions and public pointers. Politicians are trapped in these game of PR manipulators, thus serious inroads in policy making and favoritism. If Snowden was an Indian he would most likely negotiate or blackmail than become a whistle blower. Latest technologies have only become an arsenal of manipulations.Sports bodies are also invaded by these fixers, thus sports is reduced to deceit and as sports suffer (indeed attracting sponsors seems to be their raison de entre) mediocre players with range of histrionics have an easy walk over (therefore more easy money through ads and so on) while much talented players, including world class badminton players, will have to now contact the PR to get some branding. This is what this society is reduced to. There is no system for nurturing talent, it is being ransacked by fly by night operators. Srinivasan boy is just a minor example, you observe him carefully and you realize the nuances that are perfectly attuned, if he goes, salivating Shastri or some equally crude fellow will go for the grab. Market/PR manipulators have tremendous say in movies and other culture references too, actor’s worth is decided by ads, indeed they start their career not in some systematic training over this art but by nepotism and market manipulation. Cricket and movies are the most mediocre, over exaggerated, they degrade in every possible manner. Thus they short sell Indians, meanwhile American rehash invade as entertainment all day long in TV, and English becomes a beacon of modern values. It’s a market liberalism initiated primitive world, no wonder the world doesn’t give damn about Indians, while Indians gloat in self pride. These manipulators are the single most source of corruption, they peddle in black money much more than any Swiss can hold. They are the fixers that oil deals and any twists that are needed in the narrations. The reason why India will remain trapped under this mediocrity. Squatters have shifted the base, historical prejudices have metamorphosised according to market needs and convenience. The mediocrity flourishes and grows in appetite, it looks for causes to be seen nice.

Jain bandhus are back with their market triumph, squatter turned marketer has gone on defensive. My earlier blog had pointed these manipulators. Desaiji is back. I am quoting relevant paragraphs from his column and adding the word ‘race’ with caste. This must be read by the black community in USA as call from a white supremacist. Likes of Klu Klux Klan Desaiji works in their compelling mannerism (indeed I was reading an interview with Gandhi’s personal assistant. He says he was attracted to Gandhi for his ‘cleanliness and simplicity’. People get motivated by ideology or cause but here it is a different ball game. Amazing this society! Also considering that act of cleanliness in itself is much loaded with muck) and devious non violence discourse wrapped in deviant values that they wallow in as tradition. Please read, it would have been hilarious if not for miseries these people spread. Every act of prejudice and caste violence happening anywhere in this godforsaken society has the imprint and haughtiness of likes of Desaiji, and ofcourse Sardesaiji, the self proclaimed guardian –essentially one of the many little scoundrels who fish in muck water. Bracketed views in the below paragraph are mine…

But there is another side of Race/Caste that appears in a lower case version, and resides in a certain way of life. For most people of Sardesaiji’s generation and mine, Race/Caste did play an important role, particularly in the formative years of life. Whether overtly or otherwise, it was part of what was seen as everyday family life, it influenced the food cooked at home and the rituals, religious or otherwise that were practiced (replace ‘rituals’ as hunting). The sense of community that one belonged to, the feeling of a shared way of life (replace ‘shared way of life’ as possessing guns and shooting blacks, the intent heinousness is same) and overall sense of where one came was shaped by Race/Caste (very truly spoken by a supremacist). At a time when most people tended to live in their hometowns, within their communities, Race/Caste was the most natural source of identity. The absence of economic and social mobility meant that in most cases, competing sources of identity were absent (meaning other people don’t exist, very much reflected by even in the fiction written by some well known writers. It’s as if people other than like us don’t exist. This insular world is reflected in policies and structures herein, it is also in this world Gandhi acquired status of Mahatma, an apology). For this generation Race/Caste continues to be an idea that evokes a sense of belongingness, for it was a real part of their lives (Truly, every white supremacist will absolutely agree. The ‘real part of belongingness’ happens when gun fire at an unarmed black kid on the street. Since Indians are sedately non violent people the scene shifts to schools where children –demographic dividend orangutans, refuse food prepared by dalits, nor would like to share their food).

…In this construct, Race/Caste is one among many factors that shape identity. So far, the dominant liberal reaction to the idea of Race/Caste has been to combat its apparently insidious influence by denying it a place in our public utterances (yes dear in civilized societies these ‘utterances’ are regarded as racism. In India these vulgarism is manipulated as culture. Precisely the point I am trying to make. Thanks). This denial of reality has created a schism between the public and the private, the professed and the practiced, and alienated a large part of India who have felt detached from their past (thus spoke Klu Klux Klan. Desaiji should ask the Dalit the same, and place his past realities in this world. As much as a white supremacist will suffer from terrible schism of “public and the private, the professed and the practiced” and face severe ‘alienation’ from the civilized world. These racist will be referred to psychiatrist but in India these people are torchbearers of tradition!). Rather than shut out the past, and make Race/Caste a towering absence in our lives, it is time to put it in its place. As one of the many sources of identity and influences that shape us.

People in USA, in particular the black community, have so much to learn from Indians, wonder what the big deal about Racism is? Black people must learn to live in tolerance, if they are being discriminated it is for them to change and understand. They must help white supremacist cherish ‘their sources of identity and influences that shape them’. There is a cosmic law at play, it will ultimately take care of things. They must focus on next life benefits. In the meantime they can fix some appointments to clarify on their future, providence that await, the rituals to rectify any problems or planetary interferences. We do have experts who share common ‘identity and influences’ on these heavenly matters.

Ideally I wouldn’t be wasting my time on these nonsense people but some of these market manipulators having tasted some big money have been quite self assured about their invincibility.

Demographic dividends of primitive society

What an amazingly primitive and degraded cultured society. That you roll over somebody’s leftover food to get blessing and to cure skin disease is how tradition comes to be defined in this part of the world. And what is heinous is that this leftover food is the one partaken by the squatters aka ‘brahmin’. Let me remind that this is circa 2014, in case some may wonder whether we have not slipped through a time-space continuum from some medieval caves. Generously being provided by the modern amenities as if by some miracle or divine interventions, what is essentially products of research, technology, innovations...while Indians roll on in muck, as part of tradition and unique culture. The younger orangutans are growing up to be part of demographic dividend. This is where Indians negotiate their ideas of world, and their special place herein. You may think this is isolated incident, you are in for a shock, much greater variant exists in each and every place around this country. They call it diversity. The space of enlightened understanding has always been a subaltern engagement. As you see in the picture the cops are there to keep the order. That is the role of the state in democracy.
This primitive degradation has all the hallmark of what learned judges of High Court referred to as ‘ritual in its traditional form’ and therefore allowed till they decide further on subtleties and modalities. This is the caliber of Indian judiciary. Morons and regressive scoundrels as judges, in the meanwhile the learned judges of SC are busy saving the spirit of cricket, a business mistaken for sports with all kind of clever manipulators vying for lick with bunch of mediocre players. This template is something very common in Indian tradition.

How did they define these squatters as Brahmin I would like to know?  Maybe scoundrels masquerading as ‘leading liberal journalist’ Saliva Sardesai, who also moon walks as some kind of expert on these matters could educate us. If not our self rectifying learner Gandhian Guhaji, who shares dais and promotes Sardesaiji’s book (indeed all of them are also writers, indeed Sardesaiji can even swing his fist and cuss when and where the situation demands. His words Iss hamam meh sab nange hai is immortalized in annals of, whatever can be called as, Indian journalism) should enlighten. Mishraji promotes Desaiji in an international column, so poor me is sucked into Desaiji (a heartrending peddler columnist, market’s claim on social thinking and reflection), Desaiji in turn is quick to defend Sardesaiji (which should be obvious in the complicated primitively subtle world, SarDesai is more than Desai, it is an all encompassing access to inner world that Desai will have to come in terms with!). He writes with much authority “…some recent tweets by Sardesaiji that had to do with taking pride in the achievements of some people from his caste. The truth is that most people have been brought up in the cradle of caste and to think of caste purely as a social evil is to choose to be blind to the role it plays in the lives of most Indians. A recent NCAER study tells us that only 5% of marriages in India are of an inter-caste nature, and while this is a pointer to a social problem, it underlines where we really are as a society. To pretend otherwise is to deny ourselves answers that are appropriate for the Indian context”. So here we go with the tradition of wordly dexterity, the art of packaging to whosoever it may concern. That this fellow has done exceptionally well in market is a testament to how squatters can easily ensconce to the world of pedaling. Let’s analyze Desaiji’s statement. According to our man of market with conscience of a saint, the ‘cradle of society’ is not entirely evil, where the line is drawn is not explained. It is a different matter that he finds expression of evil part as only a social ‘problem’. Sardesaiji’s taking pride, we assume, is on the non evil part. That caste is the single most source of degradation is subdued in this play of words and Gandhian diversity, it is nothing short of racism. This when taken out of this primitive ‘cradle’ and drilled into western reality becomes beacon of non violence and tolerance. It is time that international community calls this bluff and clam on this degradation of humanity. The audacity to call themselves as civilized is what baffles me. I have persistently made the point of India should be declared as a racist country.

Some high on liberalism (very likely fed by salivating Congress leftovers, who haven’t come in terms with loss of power) are quite concerned about PM Modi’s frequent foreign visits, my concern is President Mukherjee (it’s disgusting and degrading that even the first citizen of this country carries these references. Of course being a Congressman these comes easy. I can but only blame likes of Gandhi, as these were seen as normal, wherein if they were shamed in the beginning itself they wouldn’t dare to carry these in civilized world) hopping from one temple to another. Clearly President doesn’t seem to have much work nor our man is enlightened enough to dissociate from these ritualistic symbols. It is no wonder that he was able cross party lines as problem solver/negotiator before being elevated as President. We know what was working.

That these references extend to hereditary claims and degrading rituals should have been clamped down by the legislature. But then looking at the kind of politicians starting with President and down under we cannot expect much. The media too is bunch controlled by mediocre market. Only respite was Judiciary, and there look at the buffoons as HC judges who find these amazingly degrading rituals wherein people roll the leftover of others as blessing, as tradition. While buffoons at Supreme Court scores a big one by declaring the temple of Chidambaram as squatter’s property. The Indian judiciary arguably is one of most mediocre bunch with not much spine or understanding, not surprising as Desaiji mentions “the cradle…it underlines where we really are as a society. To pretend otherwise is to deny ourselves answers that are appropriate for the Indian context”.

Now that Mishraji has referred Desaiji, and Desaiji has defended Sardesaiji, and Sardesaiji has got Guhaji’s blessing. So what will Guhaji do? Well he is going to go back to Gandhi, to extract meanings from the little world…and some clever words that when taken out of Indian reality becomes beacon of hope for humanity. Nice set up. As Sardesaiji pouts 'Iss hamam meh sab nange hai'. Truly.

Why Germany?

and why for godsake Sanskrit? I am quite shocked by the choice of Germany in Kendriya Vidayalayas (KVs). On what basis this language was included in the syllabus, this blogger likes to know. Who decided it? Shocking indeed. KVs have no business promoting foreign languages as the market dictates. The market may need youngsters as backend employees to maintain the German economy, in the mean process cut cost in labour. Economy doesn’t decide linguistic choices in schools. Schools are not the place for producing market designed products. I have nothing against Germany as much as I have nothing against Swahili. Did PM Modi ask Chancellor Merkel why Tamil or Mundari is not taught in schools in Germany?

Clearly the mediocre people in previous government had included Germany as a hint on internationalism therefore showcasing their harebrained market initiated liberalism. While the present government as expected has replaced it with Sanskrit, a language that has squatter’s intention written all over it. It never had nor will it ever have any precedence over any of hundreds of beautiful Indian languages. This attempt to promote Sanskrit –that indeed has legacy of atrocities, should be resisted. Further learning Sanskrit serves no purpose, nor does it in any way give us any insight on nuances of Indian languages. I also studied Sanskrit in school (in KV), and did some ram ramo ramosya…and related crap. Absolute waste, it was an effort to make zombie out of children.

This blogger believes that instead of promoting any particular language there should be lessons on introduction to Indian languages. Basic understanding of all languages and the amazing legacies they carry. This blogger has, in the last many years, astounded by the linguistic diversity in India, its cultural expressions and literary nuances are sometimes so brilliant that you want more. It is absolutely incredible. That many of these languages are facing threats, indeed extinction, is a painful reality. These insights came quite accidently while travelling to different places, getting interested, then taking efforts to read and understand. What was providence could have been part of my syllabus in school, that would have introduced me to these wonders in a more systematic manner rather than bumping into them. It is undoubtedly a failure of education system. The present government should not repeat these mistakes. It will be a travesty on amazing linguistic diversity of this land which undoubtedly is collective legacy of not only Indians but whole of humanity, therefore should be cherished.
