Degrading young minds, the threat of devious minoritarianism

In a degraded society every innovation will nurture manipulative space every benign effort will find its starkest denominator. Mid-day meal was such an innovative benign scheme that now scraps the worst of possibilities. The intention was to provide essential nutrition to children, in a society that has rampant malnutrition, as also to prevent school dropout. Food is a compelling incentive in poverty ridden society. India languishes at the bottom of social indices, much lower than many poorest exploited countries and war torn horrendous places on earth. These are not accidental, nor is it fate as being cleverly posited. It’s an indication of much deeper malaise of a primitive society. India also is home to amazing biodiversity that is being wantonly exploited. It lacks caliber to be the guardian of such bountiful legacy, to inform people, create awareness and learn about these. It is stuck in some entitled boogey land with appropriated and plagiarized concepts coded in sanskrit that is showcased as indication of high bearing which when meets the reality creates hilarious irony. ‘Wildlife’ related program are mostly by white men with repeated focus on big mammals or few reptiles, specifically crocodiles and snakes, theatrics taken out of context from the ecosystem to gladiator ogling. What makes it worse is anthropomorphized narrations with misogynist intent.

Midday meal in schools is also intended to create inclusive value system in a society that is known for its primitive ways that originates from depraved sanctum into patriarchal family unit. It is expected to empathize with eating habit context and care for each child’s self-belief. If any change is suggested or if standardized norms is imposed against the majority then it must fulfill logical scrutiny. It just cannot be based on value system, considering that this society is too unevolved and has horrendous past. So when Akshyapatra (a high end NGO providing midday meal for children in govt schools in many states) imposes its value system through food habit on to young minds it is a serious concern. These should have been handled at the outset (this blogger pointed it out few years back) and if the NGO concerned doesn’t change its stand then it should be blacklisted. Akshyapatra prides itself for hygiene standards and efficiency, it is unfortunate that these should have been handled by the State and community while an NGO preens meanwhile cunningly imposes its dubious will. There can be debate on Non vegetarian food option, vegetarian, indeed vegan, is quite logical evolved choice that children need to be aware of. But we need also keep in mind the level of abject malnutrition and poverty, and more significantly the degradation through purity of vegetarian cannibalism that is sought to be pushed in. There is no denying that boiled eggs must be part of midday meal scheme (handling, preparation and nutritional needs fulfills the criteria quite well). Anyone against this is peddling sanctum scum’s value system at the expense of life and wellbeing of common people.

The high end NGO (run by market fed branded technocrats and purity seeking investors) nurtured by state is playing a horrible joke on the misery of common people. The food distributed by them doesn’t contain garlic and onion, it seems these are considered impure. I had a peculiar incidence of IIT professor elaborating these to me in detail few years back! Meanwhile during lunch he asked about the ingredients to the hapless serving boy, on being told about onion and garlic he visibly winced and refused to eat. Such rudeness (that too in the presence of people who are consuming the same food) can only be explained through uncouthness of entitled sanctum that has severely degraded the society. That he happened to be a teacher at IIT Delhi makes it worst, and an assertion to the primitive nature of the society that is way too entrenched, and is being nurtured by deep state. Obviously this buffoon’s contribution in technology can only be limiting, not to speak of his worth as a teacher. Onion and garlic are important ingredients of food prepared by common people in almost all home across the country. Indeed one see many times poor people (like laborers, rickshaw pullers or in crowded trains) eating roti with raw onions. Onion is ubiquitous with Indian food preparation and as a salad is the first thing offered in lower end hotels. The price of onion is even manipulated to decide the fate of elections. So to classify onion and garlic as impure and not worth to be consumed is seriously problematic. And understanding the context of this primitive society it is no doubt a crime. It also is meant to degrade the mindset of children of poorer, marginal and exploited sections (the target of spreading purity in the garb of hygienic food) in a society that is tenuously hinged to any egalitarian value system or humanistic considerations. If children are being fed, or even hinted, with the notion that what they eat at home is impure (one can initiate reducing meat diet or vegan as ethical personal choice and the logics at work), or that it lacks, it is an attempt at dehumanizing the child from his/her nurturing space, loved ones and is indeed blocking the empathetic value system. It is a sinister attempt at not only isolating the child from the surrounding but also poisoning his/her reasoning faculty and mindset (that is meant to be inquisitive, accommodative and open to learn) while entrenching into dubious value system that can only degrade and spread misery. As it is the mediocres nurtured by casteist feudal uncouth deep state has put english into primacy, and with it syllabus that rarely reflects the surrounding hence amazing level of mediocrity that seeks education to sniff money as final outcome of blessing.

AkshayaPatra has no business to serve food to children under midday meal scheme. They can set up their purity shop somewhere else to earn punya. There is no reason why AkshyaPatra should not be blacklisted.

Well done madam

KK Shailaja, the Health minister of Kerala, is arguably a competent minister who has proved herself not once but twice as the panic driven society (densely populated and literate -hence quite aware and inquisitive) was on edge as nipah virus reared its head. Excellent work madam.
