Ritupurno Ghosh
was the best that had happen to Indian cinema in recent times, it is shocking
that he passed way so suddenly. Movies like Unishe April, Dahan, Chokker
bali…stand out. People mention about Bergmanisque aura, I believe the Indian
nuance was too prominent, Tagore was constant presence. The talk of new wave (in
hindi movies) are much feeble, Ritupurno was the real deal in the mould of
Satyajit Ray and other greats…deeply saddened.
